We collect no salaries, we maintain the lowest overhead costs possible, and can proudly state that your valuable donation will be directed to those who need it most: children and families!
Drawing upon the inspirational life journey of his daughter, Ali McManus, Mark's vision in founding The Healing Notes Foundation is to provide comfort, hope, and inspiration for children and families dealing with serious illnesses. Mark is responsible for major gift acquisitions and project management. Mark's professional career spans across several disciplines from computer training and education to healthcare. He has held the position as Chief Executive Officer of NH Learning Solutions, Intellezy, and DripIV Therapy & Hydration. Mark has a proven track record of business success spanning 30+ years. Many years ago, Mark set out on a path of giving by providing initial music resources for Shriners Hospital in St. Louis. Mark has served on the boards of various corporations, business organizations, and philanthropic causes. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University.
Jessica is responsible for the foundation’s creative and strategic vision. Prior to establishing The Healing Notes Foundation, she spent 15 years as an early childhood educator at Cranbrook Schools in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Jessica is a lifelong learner, supporter of the arts, and works as a certified yoga and meditation instructor for children and adults. She is a volunteer Pediatric Aide at Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak Campus, a member of Beaumont Health's Patient and Family Advisory Council, a member of the University of Michigan CS Mott and Von Voigtlander Advisory Council and The University of Michigan Medicine Women's Health Leadership Board. She serves as a leader for The Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams Project at Beaumont Children's and as a hospital liaison for the nonprofit Fleece and Thank You. Additionally, Jessica is training to become a gallery docent at The Detroit Institute of Arts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, has studied Art & Art History abroad, and is pursuing a certification in Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School.
